Accident Investigation is a sort of analysis which is carried out by experts to find out the cause or causes of accidents which are quite frequent and to take certain concrete measures to prevent them from happening. It is done through a series of activities, first one being fact gathering followed by analyzing the facts gathering and then unanimously reaching a consensus as to how these accidents can be averted. In the normal course of the day people generally neglect such accidents and grow quite accustomed to them happening at any time of the day. CSI has reiterated its importance and significance that one exercise a certain amount of vigilance on his/her part which is undoubtedly a pre-requisite to avert such untoward eventualities. There exist a number of methods of analyzing the causes of such accidents. Experts employ various tools and techniques to determine the root cause or causes of such accidents. Based on their analysis they try to come up with some preventative measures which go a long way in preventing such accidents. Apparently, it is because of such preventative measures that if not thousands, a hundred lives are saved and many more can be saved if people are made aware and they are encouraged to go that extra mile in making their lives safer and prosperous
