Thomas D Barnes CHMM, CET
Mr. Barnes began his career in the hazardous material field over twenty three years ago. He has actively managed two separate Treatment Storage and Disposal Facilities (TSDF's) and has had responsibility for all environmental compliance matters, including OSHA, DOT, and training requirements. He was also retained in a regional capacity by a hazardous waste company, designated with the responsibility for training and implementation of the company's industrial services program. This has afforded Mr. Barnes with a detailed look at what today's businesses are confronted with in the area of environmental, health, and safety compliance. He has also obtained experience through employment with both an analytical services firm and an environmental engineering firm.

Mr. Barnes has a B.S. in Business Administration and a M.A. in Public and Private Management, with a concentration in Private Management, from Birmingham Southern College.

Tom Barnes is a Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM), awarded by the Institute of Hazardous Materials Management in Rockville , Maryland . This certification was awarded as a result of peer review after rigorous testing. He has served as President of the Alabama Society of Hazardous Materials Managers for 1996 and 1997, and has served as Co-Chair of the Training and Education Standards Committee for the National Academy in 1997. He has also served as an instructor in the CHMM review courses held at Samford University , Faulkner State Community College , and the Bevel Center for Environmental Technology.

Tom also holds the Certified Environmental Trainer (CET) classification awarded by the National Environmental Training Institute in Phoenix , Arizona . This certification requires a minimum of 270 hours of classroom training experience along with a difficult examination process. Tom is also a Certified Training Outreach Instructor for OSHA and is certified to perform both 10 hour and 30 hour certification courses.

Jerry Braden
Jerry Braden has attained an Associate of Science degree from Faulkner University , an Associate of Science degree in Logistics from the Air Force Community College, and an Associate of Science degree in Bio-environmental Engineering. He began his career with the US Air Force as a Bio-environmental Engineering Technician. He first established and managed an Industrial Hygiene program in which occupational health hazards were recognized and controlled.

For five of the seven Air Guard units in the state of Alabama , Mr. Braden conducted state and federal environmental protection programs, hazardous material management, hazardous communication programs, and emergency spill response. He established highly motivated training programs that have been patterned by other installations.

Mr. Braden is currently a trainer in the field of Disaster Response and Hazardous Materials. He teaches Hazardous Materials Incident Response per the guidelines of the US Environmental Protection Agency. He is a Disaster Response Technician for the US Air Force as well as a Chemical Weapons Trainer.

Jerry is a member of the disaster response team for the Montgomery area and has worked with both the State Emergency Agency as well as with local law enforcement during natural disasters. Mr. Braden has also been employed by a major environmental company where he managed the automotive environmental division and established new programs, both internal and external, for new and existing customers.

He is qualified in Hazardous Waste and in Waste Site Management, certified as Level A in HAZWOPER Training, and was awarded the Advance Certification in Environmental Safety.

John R Jenkins
John R Jenkins is an experienced environmental, safety, and health manager. He is a graduate, with a BS in chemistry, from the University of Montevallo where he began developing the laboratory analytical skills that led to his employment by Alabama Power.

At Alabama Power, Mr. Jenkins came in on the start-up of a new and large generating unit at the E C Gaston Steam Plant at Wilsonville. During his work there, he gained extensive experience in the development and refinement of the operational functions of these complex units. He also became very familiar with all phases of environmental regulation and is an Alabama Emergency Response and Remediation Hazardous Materials Technician.

Mr. Jenkins then progressed to the management of hazardous wastes such as asbestos and emergency hazardous chemical spills. John has been employed as Supervisor of Asbestos Abatement Projects, Manager of Asbestos Programs, and has performed facilities inspections for asbestos containing materials.

As a natural outgrowth of this experience, John moved into the development and management of the Plant's health and safety programs, having conducted extensive training of workers at both the labor and management levels, including emergency spill response, principals of industrial hygiene, maintenance, welding, etc. He has also achieved Grade II Certification in Wastewater Disposal.

Due to meritorious service, John was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation from Alabama Power in recognition of his outstanding performance during a particular emergency incident.

Over the last nine years of working with Compliance Specialists, John has managed the safety, health and environmental programs of diverse industrial and business clients. John has obtained Title 5 Major and Synthetic Minor air permits and NPDES permits for several clients.

Raymond E. (Ray) Lindsey
Ray has over twenty-five (25) years of executive-level human resources management, including responsibility for EH&S. He has a Safety Specialist certification from University of Alabama in Birmingham . He has worked in a variety of industries including: mining, foundry, steel manufacturing, metals distribution, and mass production, automotive parts manufacturing. Ray has extensive training and development expertise, and has participated in lean manufacturing and ISO quality certification implementation.
